Rhinoplasty Questions

What options do I have to finance rhinoplasty?

Your financing options for nose surgery are dependent upon individual circumstances. For patients who endure breathing problems that necessitate nose surgery, many health insurance policies will cover a portion, if not all, of your rhinoplasty expenses.

On the other hand, if you are undergoing nasal cosmetic surgery only for aesthetic purposes, insurance will probably not cover your costs. In order to provide all potential patients with the capability to meet their aesthetic aspirations, Dr. Hamrah provides unique financing and insurance options.

Will rhinoplasty leave a visible scar?

With the exception of only the most extreme cases, Dr. Hamrah performs closed rhinoplasty on his patients. This involves an incision within the nose’s inner lining, which means patients will not have to endure a visible scar.

What about non-surgical rhinoplasty or “liquid rhinoplasty”?

With the advent of the new soft tissue fillers minor asymmetries and little “dents and dings” of the nose can be corrected with dermal fillers without the requirement of general anesthesia. Dr. Hamrah offers this option only in select cases where little corrections need to be done that normally would not warrant a surgical procedure. Depending on the irregularities of the nose there are several dermal fillers that are suitable.

How long will the procedure take?

The majority of rhinoplasty procedures are conducted within an hour. However, the procedure may take upwards of three hours in patients necessitating extreme makeovers.

What type of anesthesia will be used?

Dr. Hamrah performs rhinoplasty on an outpatient basis and uses general anesthesia for the majority of operations.
